GARDEN MEETING – GIBBS & MILLARD GARDEN, BERKELEY CA

Several members and friends of East Bay Rose Society joined with friends and neighbors of Dan Gibbs and Greg Millard in their beautifully maintained garden for a specially prepared luncheon and an Ikebana demonstration by Mr Shuji Ikeda. Mr. Ikeda is a Senior Professor of Junkatoku in the Ikenobo School of Ikebana.

And here we see the final design – and it is lovely. We all wished we could do this with our roses. But it takes years of instruction and practice, practice, practice!

Lovely platters of dessert snacks and food items were placed in the rooms, on the deck, and enjoyed by all.

The garden was beautiful and the members gathered on the deck, in the patio, on the balcony – wherever they found congenial company and lovely roses. Gregg Cook chatting with Carolyn Sanders and Dan.
