PRUNING - MORCOM AMPHITHEATRE OF ROSES - OAKLAND

JANUARY 14, 2017
Several members of East Bay Rose Society joined other volunteer groups to work at the Rose Garden on a chilly but partially sunny morning in January.

We all gathered along the reflecting pool and started methodically cutting back the roses and pulling weeds.

Moving steadily around the pool area.

Pruning the staircase with the Deadheaders.

Jolene and Kjerste discussing where the next cut should be located.

GOOD ROSES FOR THE EAST BAY
Our climate is Mediterranean, and our soil is mostly heavy clay. Here's a list of roses that have proven to be good for our area and a list of disease-resistant roses you might try.
